Κατοικία στον Ωρωπό

This is a vacation dwelling in the Municipality of Oropos, of the geographical region of Central Greece. The site is located adjacent to the beach road and has an uncostrained view of the sea. The synthesis of the house consists of two volumes. The first volume, on its ground floor, contains the living spaces, whilst the upper floor contains the bedrooms and the bathrooms. The second smaller volume, is the guest house and includes a bedroom and a bathroom. The point where the two volumes meet, forms a sheltered open space. This open space is common for all the occupants and acts as a meeting point. Furthermore, is the element that unifies the two volumes. The plot is completely level so it brings no constrains into the design. The facade orientation of the building is east, with respect to the view. Most windows have an east and south orientation, maximizing daylighting. Architects: Maria Vlachou, Anna Benetou
