Αποκατάσταση Κατοικίας στο Πυργί

The house is located in the dense, coherent urban tissue of Pyrgi [a medieval village in Chios Island], in the Ag. Vassileios neighborhood. The main aim of the design was to maintain the original physiognomy of the house, on functional level as well as on the level of the general atmosphere of space, enhancing the original structural details, materials and colors. The ground floor remained as a workplace for processing mastic, the mezzanine level as a sleeping room, the first floor as the main living space, while the top level was turned into the children’s bedroom.
Η κατοικία βρίσκεται μέσα στον πυκνό, συνεκτικό πολεοδομικό ιστό του μεσαιωνικού οικισμού του Πυργίου στη Χίο, στη γειτονιά του Αγ. Βασιλείου. Κατά το σχεδιασμό επιδιώχθηκε να παραμείνει αναλλοίωτη η φυσιογνωμία του σπιτιού, τόσο σε επίπεδο λειτουργιών, όσο και σε επίπεδο χρωματισμών και γενικότερης ατμόσφαιρας. Το ισόγειο παρέμεινε χώρος εργασίας, για την επεξεργασία της μαστίχας, το μεσοπάτωμα δωμάτιο ύπνου, ο όροφος χώρος διημέρευσης, ενώ το τελευταίο επίπεδο μετατράπηκε σε παιδικό υπνοδωμάτιο.
