Εξοχικές Κατοικίες στον Εμπορειό

The basic design intention for these two residences was their integration into the natural landscape, their incorporation into the natural rock, at the far end of the jetty. The height remained low, below the natural ridge, and local stone was selected as the main material. The two residences, which communicate through a common semi-open space, operate independently, but have the possibility of unification through the basement. The large openings of the spaces were designed in continuity with the visual axis towards the natural harbor.
Βασική σχεδιαστική πρόθεση των δύο αυτών κατοικιών ήταν η ένταξη στο φυσικό τοπίο, η ενσωμάτωσή τους στο φυσικό βράχο, στην απόληξη του λιμενοβραχίονα. Το ύψος παρέμεινε χαμηλό, κάτω από τη φυσική κορυφογραμμή και ως κύριο υλικό επιλέχθηκε η τοπική πέτρα. Οι δυο ισόγειες κατοικίες , που επικοινωνούν μέσω ενός κοινού ημιυπαίθριου χώρου, λειτουργούν ανεξάρτητα, έχουν όμως και τη δυνατότητα ενοποίησης μέσω του υπογείου. Τα μεγάλα ανοίγματα των χώρων σχεδιάστηκαν με άξονα τις οπτικές φυγές προς το φυσικό λιμάνι.
